Faculty grants for non-course academic activities

Professor Steve Wesselingh,  Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, has approved funding to support undergraduate student activities of an academic nature in 2009.  Such activities will not form part of core course requirements, but rather support them.  For example, presentation of student work at conferences or attending conferences and seminars. The funding aims to assist with the cost of registration, travel etc associated with such activity. Proof of attendance at the activity, associated accommodation or transport receipts will be required.

Funding will be in two rounds, with application close dates of 30 April and 30 September. The amount of funding a student receives will be dependent on the number of applications received.
