The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is one of seven preclinical Departments of the School of Biomedical Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences based at Clayton Campus. The Department has been ranked as the premier Department in its discipline since the inception of ARC benchmarking of Australian Departments in 1998 and has an international reputation for both high quality research and postgraduate teaching and has recognised strengths in molecular, cellular and structural biology.
